Why an older iPhone 13 may still be worth money
The iPhone 13 still runs the latest iOS, has a good camera and a comfortable form factor — exactly what entry-level second-hand buyers are looking for. As long as the battery and screen are healthy, used demand has stayed surprisingly strong.
Age, battery and condition
Most iPhone 13s coming in now have 80–85% battery health — that's normal for the age and is already factored in to the offer. Below 80% the offer drops because the battery realistically needs replacing.
- Storage: 128GB / 256GB / 512GB
- Battery health % (especially around the 80% threshold)
- OLED panel — burn-in is uncommon but worth checking
- Glass front and rear condition
- Working Face ID and dual camera
- Network unlocked vs UK-locked
Is it still worth selling?
If you're upgrading to a newer iPhone, the answer is almost always yes — even an older 13 puts a meaningful contribution towards the next phone, and the resale value will only continue to fall as Apple releases newer models.
