Sell AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max for Cash

AirPods we accept

• AirPods — all current and recent generations
• AirPods Pro — 1st generation and 2nd generation (Lightning and USB-C variants)
• AirPods Max — original Lightning and USB-C versions
• Individual earbuds and charging cases where commercially viable — disclose what's missing up front
• Working, damaged or incomplete sets may still be considered at parts or refurbishment value
• Original boxes and accessories support a stronger offer but are not required

What our buying team inspects

• Authenticity — physical construction, weight, magnet behaviour, port and mesh detail
• Model and component consistency — earbuds and case from the same generation, serials checked together
• Battery and charging — wired and (where applicable) wireless / MagSafe
• Audio — left/right balance, distortion, microphones, noise cancellation and Transparency mode where supported
• Cosmetic condition — case scuffs, ear-cup wear, headband condition on AirPods Max
• Apple Account and Find My association — we may ask the verified owner to remove them
• Proof of ownership may be requested for higher-value or newer items

What we will not buy

We only purchase items we are satisfied are genuine and legitimately owned. To keep that standard:

• Counterfeit or replica AirPods are declined — no exceptions, no parts value
• Items reported lost or stolen will not be purchased
• Mixed-generation or non-genuine component combinations are inspected closely and may be declined
• AirPods that remain associated with another person's Apple Account cannot be treated as a normally reusable, ready-for-resale set until the legitimate owner removes that association

How we check authenticity

A reliable assessment combines several checks. A single signal — even a recognised serial number, an Apple-style pairing animation or convincing packaging — is not enough on its own. See our authenticity guides:

Original packaging can support a valuation but does not independently prove authenticity — boxes, serials and stickers can all be copied.

Apple Account and Find My — before you visit

AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max can stay associated with the previous owner's Apple Account through Find My. Resetting the hardware is not the same as removing the account association. Removing them from your account before sale gets the smoothest valuation. Customers enter their own Apple Account password — staff do not request or retain credentials, and PhonesForCash cannot bypass Apple security or ownership protections.

What to send for a guide price

When you WhatsApp us, include:

• Exact AirPods model or generation (AirPods 2 / 3, AirPods Pro 1 / 2, AirPods Max Lightning / USB-C)
• Whether the charging case is included
• Whether both earbuds are present
• Overall cosmetic condition (light marks, scuffs, missing tips, headband condition)
• Any charging or battery faults
• Whether you have the original box and proof of purchase
• Whether the AirPods have been removed from the owner's Apple Account and Find My
• Clear photographs — top, underside of case, both earbuds, ear cushions for AirPods Max
