Sell Your iPhone for Cash

The national iPhone resale hub for PhonesForCash. Find your model below, get an honest estimate, and finalise the sale at our St Helens counter — or arrange delivery to the store once we've spoken.

    Find your iPhone

Search, pick a generation, choose your model, then continue to the model page or start a WhatsApp valuation.

How selling your iPhone to us actually works

We're a real shop, not a faceless mail-in service. Here are the genuine routes available — no pretend nationwide free-post promise.

    1. Request an estimated quote

Send your model, storage and condition via the website, WhatsApp, phone or email. We reply with an estimated figure where possible.

    2. Visit the St Helens counter

Bring the iPhone to 41 Church Street for an in-person valuation. We test in front of you and explain the offer.

    3. Or arrange delivery to the store

Distance isn't a problem. Contact the team first and we'll talk through how to send it safely — never post without speaking to us.

    4. Final value confirmed after testing

Battery health, Face ID, camera modules, storage and lock status are all checked. The estimate becomes a firm offer once we've inspected the device.

What an iPhone valuation actually looks at

Most offers move on a small set of factors. Knowing them in advance means no surprises at the counter.

    Model and storage

Higher storage tiers consistently fetch more. A 1TB Pro Max sits in a different price bracket from a 128GB base model.

    Battery health

Anything under ~85% maximum capacity affects the offer. A pending 'Important Battery Message' or replaced battery is checked too.

    Screen and back glass

Hairline scratches are normal. Cracks, deep scuffs, true-tone failure or burn-in shift the device down a grade.

    Face ID and camera testing

Each rear lens, the front camera, Face ID, microphones and speakers are tested. Camera misalignment from drops is common on older Pros.

    Genuine vs replacement parts

Settings → General → About flags 'Unknown Part' for non-Apple screens, batteries or cameras. These devices still have value but at a lower tier.

    Network lock vs Activation Lock

Network-locked iPhones can still be bought. Activation-locked devices (Find My / iCloud still signed in) cannot — see the locks guide.

Find My and Apple Account removal

Sign out of iCloud and remove the device from your Apple ID before bringing it in, or we'll need to do it together at the counter.

    How to remove Find My

    IMEI and lost/stolen checks

Every iPhone is IMEI-checked against the UK CheckMEND blacklist. Devices flagged as lost or stolen cannot be purchased.

New, used, damaged or unwanted-upgrade iPhones

    New, sealed or boxed iPhones

Sealed handsets from a contract upgrade or unwanted gift attract our strongest offers.

Sell a New or Sealed iPhone

    Used iPhones in everyday condition

Light wear is normal. We grade fairly and explain how each cosmetic factor affected the offer.

    Damaged or faulty iPhones

Cracked screens, broken back glass, dead batteries, water damage — many faulty iPhones still hold value for parts and refurb.

    Unwanted upgrade iPhones

Carrier upgrade arrived but you've decided to stick with your current phone? Sealed upgrade handsets sell quickly.

Why customers prefer an in-person iPhone assessment

Online quotes from large mail-in services frequently get revised downwards once the device arrives — and by then your iPhone is in their warehouse. With us, the device never leaves your sight until you've agreed the price.

Got a genuine, current, like-for-like quote from another local buyer? Bring it in — we'll do our best to beat it where commercially possible.
