    Account & activation lock

    Activation Lock must be removed before a full-value sale. Sign out of iCloud (Settings → your name → Sign Out) and disable Find My iPhone, then optionally factory reset via Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone. A locked device can only be valued for parts.
