How the CeX price match works
PhonesForCash will match or beat a current CeX cash price where all of the following apply:
- The comparison is for the exact same device model.
- The storage capacity matches.
- The device condition or grade is equivalent.
- The CeX cash price is current at the time of the comparison.
- The CeX price can be verified — we may ask you to show it on the CeX website or app.
- The device presented to us matches the information you supplied.
- The device passes our normal inspection, testing and IMEI/device checks.
What the promise does not cover
- CeX voucher and exchange values are not included — the comparison is against the CeX cash value only.
- Final valuation is always subject to inspection of the device in person or after it arrives by post.
- Apple Activation Lock, Google Factory Reset Protection or any other account lock must be removed by the legitimate owner through official methods before we can buy the device.
- Devices that are blacklisted, reported lost or stolen, or fail an IMEI check cannot be purchased at any price.
- Undisclosed damage, faults or non-genuine parts found on inspection may change the valuation and can affect eligibility for the price match.

How do I claim the CeX price match?
Send us the device model, storage, condition and the current CeX cash price on WhatsApp, or show it to us at the counter. We'll confirm whether the comparison is like-for-like and give you our figure before you commit to anything.
Does the price match apply to the CeX voucher price?
No. CeX quotes a lower cash price and a higher voucher/exchange price. Our promise is against the CeX cash price, because that is the like-for-like comparison — you are being paid in money, not store credit.
Will you always pay more than CeX?
We do not claim to always pay more. We promise to match or beat a current, verifiable CeX cash price where the conditions on this page are met. Where we can beat it, we will.
Can I use the price match by post?
Yes. Send the CeX cash price with your valuation request, and the confirmed offer after inspection will reflect the match or beat, provided the device matches what you described.
Do I need proof of the CeX price?
