Sell Your Google Pixel 8 Pro
The Pixel 8 Pro is Google's flagship Pixel for 2023 — 6.7-inch LTPO OLED, triple camera system, 12GB RAM, the unusual temperature sensor on the back, and the same seven-year update commitment as the Pixel 8. It has the strongest resale demand in the Pixel 8 line.
Tell us the model, storage and condition. Final offers depend on inspection and testing.
Identify your Pixel 8 Pro
Same horizontal camera bar layout as the Pixel 8 but with three visible lenses plus the small temperature-sensor circle. Matt glass back, polished aluminium frame, larger 6.7-inch flat display. Settings → About phone confirms 'Pixel 8 Pro'.

- Rear cameras: 50MP main + 48MP ultrawide + 48MP 5× telephoto
- Temperature sensor: small circle on the rear camera bar
- Chipset: Google Tensor G3
- RAM: 12GB
- Original colours: Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay, plus Mint added later
Storage variants accepted
Four storage tiers. The Pixel 8 Pro is the first standard Pixel to offer 1TB — it attracts a niche premium with creator buyers.
Where the Pixel 8 Pro sits in its generation
Top of the Pixel 8 line. The LTPO display, telephoto camera and 12GB RAM differentiate it from the standard Pixel 8. The seven-year update commitment applies to the Pro as well, running through 2030.
How the Pixel 8 Pro compares to neighbouring models
Versus the Pixel 8: LTPO 1–120Hz vs fixed 120Hz, adds 5× telephoto, more RAM, larger display, brighter peak. Versus the Pixel 9 Pro: similar feature set; Pixel 9 Pro adds the new Pixel design language, more refined chassis and Tensor G4. Versus the Pixel 7 Pro: same screen size, refreshed flat design, Tensor G3, much longer update support.
Condition factors specific to the Pixel 8 Pro
- Tensor G3 thermal performance — heavy use shows in battery degradation over time
- Triple camera bar glass + temperature sensor — multiple impact points along the rear bar
- Matt glass back is more drop-resistant in feel but cracks the same
- Polished aluminium frame shows edge marks
- LTPO OLED replacement is the most expensive in the Pixel 8 line
Screen and casing
6.7-inch LTPO OLED, Always-On capable. Replacement displays are at the top of the Pixel 8 cost band.
Battery condition
5,050mAh battery. Battery health visible in Settings → Battery. Tensor G3 thermal behaviour does accelerate wear on heavy use. Disclose any battery replacement history.
Cameras and biometrics
Triple rear (50MP main + 48MP ultrawide + 48MP 5× telephoto), plus the temperature sensor (which doesn't affect imaging). Front camera is 10.5MP. Fingerprint sensor is under-display optical — confirm it still enrols and unlocks reliably.
Charging port
USB-C, 30W wired charging. Check the port for reliable charging.
Account & activation lock
Remove every Google account (Settings → Passwords & accounts → Google) before factory resetting. Factory Reset Protection (FRP) survives a reset, so resetting first without signing out can lock the device into a Google login on first boot.
Read the activation lock guide →Network & IMEI status
Network-unlocked Pixels have a wider buyer pool and attract better offers. UK carriers must unlock free of charge on request. Every device is IMEI-checked against CheckMEND before purchase.
Box, charger and accessories
Shipped with a USB-C to USB-C cable, no charger. Original Pro-line box helps the boxed-market offer.
Working Pixel 8 Pro units are the strongest second-hand sellers in the Pixel 8 line. Damaged units are still valued; LTPO replacements are expensive, so cracked Pro Maxes carry larger deductions than the standard 8 but are still buyable.
Before you request a valuation
- Remove every Google account
- Note any battery replacement
- Confirm fingerprint sensor still enrols
- Test all three rear cameras
- Confirm network lock status
- Locate the Pro-line original box, USB-C cable and any case
